About Avery Young, M.S., M.Ed., IBCLC
I love making confusing topics easier to understand.
I’m on a mission to help professionals understand how infant reflexes shape latching, feeding, and oral function.
I have master’s degrees in biology and education, a decade of experience teaching and developing curriculum, and more than a decade in private practice as a lactation consultant, in Atlanta, Georgia.
I’ve spoken internationally about the connection between infant reflexes, latching, and oral function, and I bring a whole-dyad lens to everything I teach. My goal is simple: improve feeding outcomes by helping latching and feeding feel better for everyone.
I also work with organizations, private practices, and small groups to create customized education that strengthens clinical skills and supports the way their teams actually work.
