Once you understand what you’re helping your baby do, you can absolutely experiment with how to make it work for your body. The reflexes don’t change; the setup just shifts a little depending on the position.
That’s totally okay. Instead of just lifting the nipple with two fingers, you might find it easier to gently pinch and lift some breast tissue so your nipple is more accessible for your baby.
You don’t need to move your whole breast to make it work—you just need to get your nipple lined up with your baby’s mouth. That alignment matters more than how high or low your breast naturally rests.
